Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) Telemedicine The purpose of this study is to evaluate the application of a modified version of PRT designed specifically as a parent-training model via telemedicine, with the goal of increasing access to empirically validated care. The project will feature an 18-week trial of parent training PRT via telemedicine in 12 cognitively able 3- to 6-year-old children with ASD. Intervention will focus on enhancing the following developmental skills: expressive and receptive language, play, and social interaction. Outcome measures will address changes in the aforementioned domains during structured observation and standardized assessment.

Hyperthermic Yoga for Depressive Symptoms Study is a randomized controlled trial to assess the feasibility, acceptability, efficacy, and mechanisms of action of hyperthermic yoga versus a waitlist control for 80 medically healthy adults with mild to moderate depressive symptoms. The primary aim is to test the acceptability and feasibility of hyperthermic yoga as a treatment for depression. The secondary aim is to examine the effect size/efficacy of hyperthermic yoga for depressive symptoms. The tertiary aim is to explore physiological and psychological mechanisms of action.

Evaluation of a Training Model for the Proficient Use of the Belmont Rapid Infuser The Belmont Rapid Infuser is a device currently approved to replace larger volumes of necessary fluids such as blood in a fast and safe manner. The purpose of the study is to evaluate proficiency and the retention of knowledge of how to use the device based on current methods of training compared to revised training methods. Hypotheses: 1. The use of the traditional method of training is not effective, predicting less then half of staff will pass on the first attempt. 2. Restructured test with hands-on training as opposed to oral presentation only with a written test will result in a pass rate of > 80%. 3. Staff members who work in pairs will perform better than working alone when setting up the Belmont Rapid Infuser (BRI). 4. Retention at 3 months will be higher with the restructured training method than with the traditional training method.

Study of Montelukast on Gastrointestinal Tolerability in Patients With Relapsing Forms of Multiple Sclerosis Receiving Tecfidera The primary objective of this study is to evaluate whether montelukast can reduce the severity of gastrointestinal (GI) events, measured by the Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale (GSRS), after oral administration of dimethyl fumarate (DMF) in participants with relapsing forms of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The secondary objectives of this study are as follows: To evaluate whether montelukast after oral administration of DMF in participants with relapsing forms of MS decreases discontinuations due to GI events and reduces the number of participants taking symptomatic therapies for GI events; To investigate the effect of montelukast on the incidence of flushing events after oral administration of 240 mg DMF in participants with relapsing forms of MS.

Chlorhexidine Gluconate Versus Mupirocin Ointment in the Prevention of Peritoneal Dialysis-Related Infection This pilot study aims to evaluate effectiveness, safety, and cost-utility of chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG)-soaked cloths compares to mupirocin ointment and exit site usual care (normal saline) with aseptic technique in prevention of PD-related infection. It is a pilot study, double-blind, stratified randomized controlled trial. Participants will be randomized to three arms mupirocin, usual care, or CHG-soaked cloths in a ratio of 1:1:1. They will be followed at 1,3,6,9, and 12 months or until PD-related infection, catheter removal, or death. The primary outcome is PD-related infection. Secondary outcomes are safety, adverse events related to treatments such as skin irritation, rash etc. Other outcomes are hospitalization due to PD-related infection, technical failure,change of modal of dialysis, adherence to medication, death due to PD-related infection. Costs include providers and patients expenses. Utility is assessed using the EuroQol (EQ), five-dimensional (5D), five-level (5L) version. The results of this study are anticipate nephrologists and health care professional involving to PD in decision making for a plan to prevent PD-related infection. In addition, the results will lead to clinical guideline development a prevention of PD-related infection.
